 Asheboro Hybrid Academy can attribute much of their success to   Emily West, who  posted 20 points and three  blocks, and   Jacie Whitt, who  scored 12  points in addition to seven  boards and five  blocks. Those 12  points gave  Whitt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kayden Mabe, who  had six points and 13  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Faith Christian had to suffer through  a    54-26 loss at the hands of Triad Baptist Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 581st, while the Titans are ranked 230th).
 Asheboro Hybrid Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Faith Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the  defeat, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Asheboro Hybrid Academy was able to grind out a solid  victory over Faith Christian in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024, winning  37-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Asheboro Hybrid Academy since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
