Cypress Woods has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-37, which was the final score in Cypress Woods' tilt against the Panthers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Cypress Woods can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Panthers are ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Cypress Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They were dealt a 72-18 loss at the hands of Langham Creek. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cypress Park has scored all season.
Cypress Woods has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Cypress Park, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-21.
Cypress Woods took their victory against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 48-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Woods since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
