On Monday, the Silverado Skyhawks faced the Centennial Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Silverado managed a 70-66 victory over Centennial. The win was nothing new for Silverado as they're now sitting on four straight.
Cyril Franklin, Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Travaughn Brigance, who scored 16 points.
Silverado's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Silverado will head out on the road to face off against Mojave at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mojave knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Silverado likes a good challenge. Centennial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cimarron-Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Cimarron-Memorial is ranked 19th, while Centennial is ranked 20th).
