After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Mercer, West Middlesex was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They never let the Reynolds Raiders get on the board and left with  a   12-0  win. The result was nothing new for the Big Reds, who have now won five contests by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
 Harper Nickel and  Kaylee Long made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Nickel   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Long   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Nickel  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI, while  Long  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Nickel has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Allison Blanton was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.  Malia Robich was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 West Middlesex was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .522. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
West Middlesex's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-7. As for Reynolds,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-10.
 Looking ahead, West Middlesex will head out on the road to  square off against  Rocky Grove  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Reynolds, they will take on Cranberry Area at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Berries will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
