The Harrison Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Little Miami Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrison will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Harrison needed a bit of extra time to put away Fairfield. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.
Josie Harness spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Khloe Legner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Little Miami made sure to put some runs up on the board against Talawanda on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Brave. Considering the Panthers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Cook was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliette Wilkerson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Harrison's record now sits at 16-7. As for Little Miami, their record is now 18-8.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harrison hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. However, it's not like Little Miami struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Harrison couldn't quite get it done against Little Miami in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 11-6. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
