Denver South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Orlando Guevara, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Guevara's longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards. Chevelle Early was another key contributor, rushing for 122 yards.
Meanwhile, Far Northeast W took a serious blow against Ponderosa on Friday, falling 49-7. Far Northeast W was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Far Northeast W's loss came about despite a quality game from Kylan Jones, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Denver South's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.3 points per game. Far Northeast W has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
