The Branchville Yellow Jackets suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 80-46 defeat at the hands of Whale Branch. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Branchville in their matchups with Whale Branch: they've now lost three in a row.
Whale Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bradford Thompson, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Broxton jr, who scored 13 points.
Branchville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Whale Branch, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bamberg-Ehrhardt the next time they take the court. Whale Branch will head out to face Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Branchville will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
