East Helena faced Beaverhead County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vigilantes breezed past the Beavers to the tune of 34-7. This was payback for the Vigilantes, who suffered a 51-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Helena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bearek Shuman, who threw for 348 yards and three TDs. Those 348 passing yards gave Shuman a new career-high. John Benevides was Shuman's top target, picking up 114 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The win got East Helena back to even at 1-1. As for Beaverhead County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
