Basketball Recap: Jefferson Skates Past STEM School Highlands Ranch with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Jefferson's strategy against STEM School Highlands Ranch on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Jefferson Saints blew the STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans out of the water with a 49-6 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-1.

Jefferson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was T Nutter out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards. Nutter is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. Meadow Mondragon was another key player, going 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Jefferson was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as STEM School Highlands Ranch only posted one assist.

The win made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 5-4. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 65-22 victory against Sheridan on the 13th. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 39-17 loss against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART on the 16th.
