Norwalk is 0-6 against New Canaan since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Norwalk Bears will be playing at home against the New Canaan Rams at 7:00 p.m. Norwalk will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Last Saturday, Norwalk never let their opponents score. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over Bridgeport Central.
Mason Riina looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 86 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in a rushing score. Kevin Gordon also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, New Canaan faced Wilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. New Canaan walked away with a 20-13 victory over Wilton on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for New Canaan who now have five in a row.
New Canaan's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Wilton's QB won't forget Miles Chisholm anytime soon given Chisholm sacked him five times.
Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for New Canaan, their victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-1.
Norwalk was dealt a bruising 45-0 loss at the hands of New Canaan in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Norwalk have more luck at home instead of on the road?
