Hayfield got themselves on the board against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on Tuesday, but Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology never followed suit. They blew past the Colonials 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four contests by 15  runs or more  so far this season.
 Zach Suga was  incredible,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs. He is becoming a predictor of Hayfield's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).  Connor Watson also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen bases of the season.
 Hayfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .571. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The  victory made it two in a row for Hayfield and  bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4  runs in those games. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Hayfield will take on Falls Church at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 14th.
