The North Greene Huskies were the 72-69 winner over the Sullivan East Patriots when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Greene fell 73-65 to Sullivan East on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Corbin Laisure , who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds for Sullivan East. Laisure is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Cross, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
North Greene has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Sullivan East, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
North Greene will head out on the road to face off against Cloudland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cloudland is on a six-game streak of home losses, North Greene a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Sullivan East will take on Tennessee at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
