The Male Bulldogs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 34-14 margin over Fern Creek. The victory was familiar territory for Male who now have nine in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Shammai Gates, who rushed for 158 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Max Gainey also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
Male has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.55 points. As for Fern Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
Male will head out on the road to face off against Frederick Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederick Douglass is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Fern Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
