Josey is 1-9 against Hephzibah since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Josey Eagles will jump right back in to play the Hephzibah Rebels at 3:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Josey has struggled recently with 15 losses in a row, while Hephzibah will arrive with five straight wins.
On Wednesday, Josey took a serious blow against Laney, falling 86-35. Josey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-16.
Meanwhile, Hephzibah didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Jenkins County on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 59-54 victory.
Hephzibah's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Brown , who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Traeon Brown, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds.
Josey's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Hephzibah, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Josey came up short against Hephzibah in their previous meeting back in November, falling 56-50. Can Josey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
