Last Thursday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, GEO Next Generation made off with a 45-44 victory over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back wins for GEO Next Generation.
Quinniece Darby continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Jack, who scored six points along with five blocks.
Meanwhile, St. Helena College and Career Academy was the victim of a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, St. Helena College and Career Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 72nd).
GEO Next Generation is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for St. Helena College and Career Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
