Lompoc got themselves on the board against Santa Ynez on Tuesday, but Santa Ynez never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 20-0 win. Considering the Braves have won five matches by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

One reason for the win was Lompoc's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Tiana Terrones was especially locked on to Santa Ynez's QB and sacked her twice.

Lompoc's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Santa Ynez, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Coincidentally, Lompoc and Santa Ynez will both be playing Madera South the next time they take the field. The Braves will host the Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
