Wake Prep Academy extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Harper Maxwell. The Guardians put the hurt on the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Maxwell, who had 17 assists and six aces. Maxwell is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

One reason for the win was Wake Prep Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-6.

Wake Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Roanoke Rapids, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wake Prep Academy will face off against rival Bunn at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roanoke Rapids is set to square off against their familiar foe Nash Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
