The Columbus Explorers entered their tilt with the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Columbus took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 101-47 win over Hialeah Gardens. Columbus' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cameron Boozer was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Michael Feenane, who scored 16 points.
Columbus pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.4 points per game. As for Hialeah Gardens, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will take on Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Florida Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Columbus is ranked second). As for Hialeah Gardens, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Goleman at 1:30 p.m.
