The Wakefield Warriors will square off against the Langley Saxons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wakefield comes in on seven and Langley on three.
On Monday, Wakefield made easy work of Falls Church and carried off a 15-5 victory. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Tatum Oliver was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Lucy Strawn was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Wakefield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Langley and McLean, and Langley kept the tradition alive. The Saxons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Highlanders on Thursday.
Norah Jacques spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Langley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Glantzis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Wakefield's record is now 7-0. As for Langley, their record now sits at 8-3.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wakefield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Langley struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wakefield might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Langley in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
