Plainview has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Wynot Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Plainview didn't have too much trouble with the Trojans at home as they won 51-32. Plainview pushed the score to 44-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.
Plainview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abbie Kromarek out in front who scored 15 points along with eight assists and two steals. It was the first time this season that Kromarek posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelynn Dougherty, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Wynot waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They skirted past Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 47-44.
Plainview is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Wynot, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Plainview came up short against the Blue Devils when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 42-34. Can Plainview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
