After losing to Columbus the last time they met, Lake Cormorant decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lake Cormorant breezed past Columbus to the tune of 42-14 on Friday. Lake Cormorant pushed the score to 42-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Columbus cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Lake Cormorant to victory were Kaelan Yeager and Joshaun Williams. Yeager rushed for 53 yards and two scores, while Williams rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Those 53 rushing yards gave Yeager a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Cormorant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 290 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Lake Cormorant's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Columbus, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
