It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hartshorne Miners can now relate to. They suffered a rough 44-24 defeat at the hands of Pawnee on Friday. Hartshorne's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Moody, who rushed for 82 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 159 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelby Thomason, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Hartshorne's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Pawnee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Hartshorne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pawnee will take on Central at TBD on Friday. Central is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
