George Jenkins is a perfect 3-0 against Fort Meade since February of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will welcome the Miners at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
George Jenkins is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over Winter Haven on Tuesday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Layla Hinojosa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Hinojosa was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

George Jenkins kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Fort Meade made sure to put some runs up on the board against Avon Park on Monday. The Miners blew past the Red Devils 18-6.
Makayla Deleon was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Kenya Faulk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
George Jenkins has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Fort Meade, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. George Jenkins hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. However, it's not like Fort Meade struggles in that department as they've averaged .377. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
George Jenkins skirted past Fort Meade 6-4 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
