Weeki Wachee has gone 9-1 against Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Weeki Wachee will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 7:00 p.m. Weeki Wachee has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Weeki Wachee is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Wiregrass Ranch just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulls, falling 13-4.

Lilly Connell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Jayden Russo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They put the hurt on Anclote with a sharp 21-2 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Payton Fox was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Aleya Pagan was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jaida Childs, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anclote only posted an OBP of .133.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Weeki Wachee took their win against Central in their previous meeting on March 11th by a conclusive 16-4. Will Weeki Wachee repeat their success, or does Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
