Corona/Vaughn has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 41 points or more this season.
Corona/Vaughn found their leader in underclassman Harper Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least a third of Corona/Vaughn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Brandenberger, who scored eight points along with nine steals.
Corona/Vaughn pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Lake Arthur, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corona/Vaughn won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Alamo Navajo at 1:00 p.m. on January 19th.
