Clovis West let Jaelynn Torres and Madelyn Johnson run wild. Torres scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Johnson scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Johnson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Alexis Busch was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Kingsburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Irigoyen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Caitlyn Essegian also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Clovis West pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Kingsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Clovis West's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. Clovis West has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Kingsburg, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Clovis West continue to outrun the ball?
Clovis West came out on top in a nail-biter against Kingsburg in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, sneaking past 4-2. Will Clovis West repeat their success, or does Kingsburg has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
