Hugo's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed past the Prague Red Devils to the tune of 35-0. Considering the Buffaloes have won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayka Santillan had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 210 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. He has become a key player for Hugo: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-5 otherwise.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hugo's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Keyshawn Miller, Kenny Montoya, and Zaven Siniga, who each picked up one sack apiece. Quincy Shelton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hugo's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Prague, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Coming up, Hugo will square off against Metro Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Buffaloes' offense will have their work cut out for them. Prague does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
