After low-scoring totals in their previous three  game, Cardinal Spellman brought some dynamite into their most recent  matchup. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Maria Regina Tigers  11-10. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pilots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
 Danielle Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Camila Uribe was a standout: she got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Victoria Sanchez, who  went 3-for-5 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
The  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Maria Regina,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
