The Ramsey Rams managed to keep up with the Dieterich Movin Maroons until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Ramsey suffered a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of Dieterich. Ramsey has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lillie Eddy, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Eddy scored a full 26.8% of Ramsey's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Micah Greenwood was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Ramsey struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Dieterich pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.
Dieterich got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miley Britton out in front who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Britton's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Miller, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Ramsey has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Dieterich, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Ramsey will take on Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Dieterich, they will head out on the road to face off against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Ella Kinkelaar and Britton.
