The Vacaville Bulldogs will take on the Tokay Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vacaville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Vacaville earned a 5-1 win over Wood. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Parkyr Smith looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Paige Witte was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Morgan, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Vacaville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Tokay's offense. They came up short against Lodi on Thursday, falling 7-0. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Tokay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anabelle Sikich 2026, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Sikich 2026 has hit this season.
Vacaville's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.2 runs over those games. As for Tokay, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Vacaville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .426. However, it's not like Tokay struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
