Mundelein won the last time they faced Glenbrook South and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Titans by a score of 13-9.

Claire Connelly was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Sarah Benes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Connelly wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mundelein kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Mundelein's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Glenbrook South, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coming up, Mundelein will challenge Libertyville at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenbrook South, they will square off against Maine South at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
