The Hondo Owls were the 41-25 winner over the Blanco Panthers when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Hondo fell just short of Blanco by a score of 29-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hondo has scored all season.
Mina Broyles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blanco, scoring 14 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Broyles has scored at least 25% of Blanco's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Dotson, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Hondo has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Blanco, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Hondo is on the road again on Friday and play against Blanco at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. Blanco won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hondo at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th.
