Alex Ensor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds. Those eight assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Michael, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Denver South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Denver East on Saturday, sneaking past 67-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Ravens have posted since February 9, 2024.
Denver South's win came from a few key players Northfield will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Shepherd, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Dominic Rhoades-Martinez was another key player, going 6 for 13 to rack up 15 points and five assists.
Denver South smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver East only pulled down seven offensive boards.
Northfield's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Denver South, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Northfield has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Denver South struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
