It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Westminster Academy Lions can now relate to. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Master's Academy on Saturday. Westminster Academy's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Dwayne Wimbley Jr. and Anthony Barbar certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Wimbley Jr. picked up 274 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Barbar threw for 381 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. Wimbley Jr.'s longest reception was for an incredible 88 yards.
Master's Academy found their leader in underclassman O'Shea Faison, who gained 189 total yards. Faison hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Westminster Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Master's Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Westminster Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Master's Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
