They walked away with a 44-35 victory over Salado. Given Decatur's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Salado is ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Decatur found their leader in underclassman CeCe Davis, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Bralyn Peck, who scored 9 points.
Decatur's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Salado, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Decatur is on the road again on Friday and play against East View at 10:30 a.m. on December 1st. East View has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10. As for Salado, they will face off against McNeil at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
