Basketball Recap: Richfield Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Abbee Albrecht and Lilly Crane

Richfield lost against Juab back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Richfield Wildcats fell just short of the Juab Wasps by a score of 40-38. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Richfield's loss came despite strong showings from Lilly Crane and Abbee Albrecht. Crane posted eight points, while Albrecht dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. That's the most rebounds Albrecht has posted since back in December of 2024.

Juab's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracelyn Harmon, who scored nine points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Hailee Hall, who earned seven points and 11 rebounds.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Juab, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Richfield will host Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richfield is facing Delta at the right time seeing as Delta is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Juab has already played their next match (against Manti), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
