The Arroyo Valley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 65-16 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Arroyo Valley has scored all season.
Caiden Broughton was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for Notre Dame. The contest was Broughton's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Narcisse Batantu, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Arroyo Valley bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Arroyo Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rubidoux at 3:00 p.m. on December 18th. Notre Dame will be home for the holidays to greet San Bernardino at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. San Bernardino will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1129th, while Notre Dame is ranked 553rd).
