The Stone Ridge Christian Knights will head out to challenge the San Rafael Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stone Ridge Christian comes in on five and San Rafael on three.
Stone Ridge Christian had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 36-point drubbing they dealt Gustine on Friday. The Knights breezed past the Reds to the tune of 43-7. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Reds are ranked 827th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daijon Oneil was his usual excellent self, picking up 448 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 45 yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 136.1 receiving yards per game. Gavin Young was in the mix too, providing Stone Ridge Christian with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely San Rafael's strategy against Novato on Saturday. The Bulldogs blew past the Hornets 37-12. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 30-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets had little chance of recovering from.
San Rafael's win came from a few key players Stone Ridge Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lachlan Royston, who threw for 242 yards and four TDs. His passing game has become a key predictor of San Rafael's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Rio Johnson, who rushed for 145 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to San Rafael's defense and their three sacks. Lorence Olshansky was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.
Stone Ridge Christian's record now sits at 8-1. As for San Rafael, their record is now 6-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Stone Ridge Christian has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 355.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like San Rafael struggles in that department as they've been averaging 375.4 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Stone Ridge Christian barely slipped by San Rafael when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
