Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). They put the hurt on the Walton Warriors with a sharp 19-2 victory on Wednesday. The Team haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Teagan Stanton-Helms was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Stanton-Helms was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Sidney got a massive performance out of Emily Russo, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Kate Young was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Sidney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .371 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
