There's no place like home for the Arete Prep CHARGERS, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They strolled past Miami with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 70-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ryan Mourad continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Crew Oetjen, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Arete Prep's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Miami, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-23.
Arete Prep will square off against the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Leading Edge Academy - GEC focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday. Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
