Despite the loss, DeMotte Christian still got an impressive performance from Tony Bos, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Bos' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanyon Bakker, who posted nine points and six boards.
Even though they lost, DeMotte Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Central only six offensive rebounds.
It was another big night for Bryce Nannenga, who almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds for West Central. What's more, Nannenga racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Connor Huber also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
DeMotte Christian's record is now 9-11. As for West Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
DeMotte Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-49 defeat against Frontier on the 22nd. As for West Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-28 win against North White on the 21st.
