Down 27-13 entering the fourth quarter against the nation's No. 2 team, host Servite roared back only to lose 27-26 Friday night in the California Top 25 Game of the Week.

Painful enough to lose by a single point. Especially due to a missed extra point.

Following the third touchdown pass of the game from Noah Fifita, this one a 36-yarder to Zedakiah Centers, cut the lead to 27-20 early in the fourth quarter, Servite (4-2, 0-1) blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown, making the score 27-26. But the extra point missed, and St. John Bosco ran out the clock to improve to 6-0 overall, 1-0 in Trinity League play.

DJ Uiagalelei, the nation's top-rated quarterback by 247Sports, threw three touchdown passes, of 65 yards to Beaux Collins, 30 yards to Logan Loya and 47 yards to Jode McDuffie for the winners. Nathaniel Jones added an 8-yard touchdown run.

Servite, which also lost to nationally ranked Bishop Gorman, stayed within striking distance all night thanks to two touchdown catches from Tetairoa McMillan.

There were three upsets in California's Top 25, including unranked Loyola (Los Angeles) defeating No. 11 Serra (Gardena), 24-7. Alemany, ranked 12th, also was edged by unranked Bishop Amat 25-24, and No. 25 Murrieta Valley was defeated by undefeated Chaparral, 30-27.
