Hudson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Maple Hill Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Hudson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Hudson put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season. They blew past Cairo-Durham 73-24 at home. With Hudson ahead 47-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
It was another big night for Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Moriah Walker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 22 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Maple Hill ended up a good deal behind the Spartans on Wednesday and lost 51-34.
Hudson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Maple Hill, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-4.
Hudson came up short against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 36-25. Can Hudson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
