The Rye Thunderbolts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five  contests by 24  points or more this season. They took their  match at home  on Thursday with ease, bagging a  67-21 victory over Woodland Park. Rye's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Leading Rye to victory were  Codah Graber and  Brandon Benz.  Graber  scored 16 points along with six  assists and five  rebounds, while  Benz  scored 20 points along with three  steals. That's the first time this season that  Graber  scored 15 or more  points. Another player making a difference was  Isaiah Guzman, who  scored 11 points.
 Rye's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Woodland Park,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rye will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lamar at 8:45  p.m.  on January 4, 2024. Hopefully Lamar focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 20 last Saturday. Woodland Park will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Junta at 3:00  p.m.  on January 6, 2024.
