The Langley Saxons won against the Yorktown Patriots last Thursday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Langley came out on top against Yorktown by a score of 51-40. Winning may never get old, but Langley sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Langley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anya Rahman, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Peyton Daley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Langley pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Yorktown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langley will take on Wakefield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wakefield has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Yorktown, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Herndon at 7:30 p.m.
