Softball Recap: Many Comes Up Short

Many came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lakeside Warriors, falling 25-15. Even though they lost, the Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Caroline Cedars made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Avaree Procell was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Cedars wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Many lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Many moved to 4-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeside, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Many will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hornbeck at 4:00 p.m. As for Lakeside, they are taking a road trip to take on Winnfield at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th.
