Dock Mennonite never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Delaware County Christian on Friday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 16-2 victory. Considering the Pioneers have won four contests by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Avery Kutzner made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Kutzner was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Dana Delamater was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Taelyn Landis was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dock Mennonite, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. The Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Dock Mennonite struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
