American has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Goleman Gators an easy 7-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Gators are ranked 163rd).

American's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-2. As for Goleman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

American will take on Coral Reef in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Goleman, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mater Lakes Academy on Thursday.
