Anderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cassius Black led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Patterson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Walnut Hills suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lebanon by a score of 38-35. Walnut Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anderson's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Walnut Hills, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
Anderson was able to grind out a solid victory over Walnut Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 62-52. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Walnut Hills' Cj Claxton, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
