Despite the defeat, Gray's Creek saw an underclassman step up: Zeek Reed almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Khalil Lewis, who scored eight points.
Gray's Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Seventy-First, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.
